On the first Bank Holiday Monday of May, Uckfield Town Council marks 80 years since VE Day with a special street party-style celebration.
Taking place at the beginning of a week of national celebrations, this event brings together several groups in the town under one roof to mark this important occasion.
Live performances come from Uckfield Theatre Guild, the Uckfield Singers, Uckfield Concert Brass and Rosie Ann Page.
In addition, there will be several stalls run by a range of individuals and groups, including the Royal British Legion, local heritage enthusiasts, craftspeople and more.
To top it all off, there will be food stalls outside the Civic Centre, including Twisted Toppings Pizza and Indulgent Ice Creams, in addition to drinks and snacks available from the Luxfords Restaurant bar.
Uckfield Town Council invites all local residents to attend, and welcomes attendees to bring picnic-style food and snacks should they wish.
The event takes place from 12pm to 4pm in the Weald Hall, at the Civic Centre Uckfield, TN22 1AE.
