Luxfords is a friendly licenced restaurant serving freshly made food in relaxed and spacious surroundings. The restaurant is open 9.30am –3.00pm, Monday to Saturday and serves coffee, homemade cakes, hot and cold daily specials, lunches including light bites, sandwiches. Our latest menu features the Luxford Club Sandwich, a cheeseboard and the ever popular Plaice and chips with a cup of tea.
Situated just inside the Civic Centre, the restaurant has wheelchair and pram/buggy access and free Wi-Fi access.
After three weeks of refurbishment, Luxfords Restaurant has opened its doors to reveal a fresh and contemporary décor. The new look still incorporates some customer favourites including adequate space for people to move around, comfortable seating, space for pushchairs for mums and toddlers, free wifi and table service. The comfortable seating has been enhanced with the introduction of some Chesterfield sofas and tub chairs – ideal for morning coffee catch ups. The friendly, warm and welcoming ambience has been enhanced by new carpet and blinds.
The restaurant was officially opened by Uckfield Mayor Councillor Spike Mayhew at a themed Italian Opera Dinner on Friday October 26 where Glyndebourne soprano Thomasin Trezise entertained diners with some famous opera arias.
There are plans to introduce more themed events in the evening which will be posted in our What's on section. The Town Council would like to thank all the local contractors who helped to transform the restaurant in record time.
